I managed to hustle my way into at least one fashion show for Milan fashion week and it didn’t disappoint. The inspiration couldn’t have been more obvious for the Versus Spring 2012 show as a pastel colored basket ball court was laid out for a catwalk. A whistle blew (unnervingly loudly) to start the show. The pastel colors were reflected in the clothes and cheerleader themes were represented as shimmied skirts and dresses. There were also finely sculpted sweat shirts and track pants. The collection had a daytime athletic feel and characteristic Christopher Kane cut-outs and sheer chiffon. The detail that caught my eye was the studied messy hair. There is something so modern about purposeful messy hair and I’m dying to try this low teased pony (hopefully I can pull it off).
