Langi Langi

It’s the end of summer and the beginning of memories about the amazing food in Zanzibar. Because of the rich history of indian, arab influence and the spices that have grown on the island for hundreds of years, the typical dishes are full of ginger, chili and garlic (which is the most divine combination). We found this amazing restaurant and resort in Nungwi called Langi Langi (named after the local scented flower). It prides its self in modern rustic cooking, as we found out after speaking to the head chef. Everything on the ‘menu of the day’ is a must try, along with the curries. I tried the fried fish with hot chili sauce and it was amazing, I’m talking about an explosion of flavor, needless to say it was very very spicy. The location is also divine located directly above the beach.
